Andaye Says Arenyeka’s Emergence as Delta APC Chair Reflects Broad Party Acceptance

The Executive Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Council, Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye, has said the emergence of Chief Solomon Arenyeka as consensus chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State shows broad acceptance among party leaders and stakeholders.

Arenyeka emerged during the state congress held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at the Cenotaph in Asaba, the Delta State capital.

Andaye said the outcome of the congress reflected confidence in Arenyeka’s ability to reposition the party and strengthen its structure ahead of the 2027 general elections. He added that the APC in Delta would work toward electoral victories for President Bola Tinubu, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and other candidates of the party.

In a congratulatory message, Andaye, who is also Secretary of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Delta State Chapter, said Arenyeka’s political trajectory had a “divine touch,” pointing to his movement from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), where he served as state chairman, to his new role as Delta APC chairman.

He said the development was both notable and divinely arranged, and described Arenyeka as a leader with a record of inclusive leadership centred on unity and teamwork. According to him, that background positions the new chairman to consolidate existing gains and deepen APC presence across Delta State.

Andaye also commended Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, identified as APC leader in Delta State, and other stakeholders for what he described as a peaceful and successful congress that produced a new set of state executives.

He said the process and its outcome showed a united party focused on common political goals in the state.

Andaye further pledged total support from the APC family and residents of Bomadi Local Government Area for the party’s candidates in 2027, saying the party remained a dominant and unifying political force in the area under his leadership as council chairman.
