Head coach Rena Wakama has announced a 17-player provisional squad for Nigeria's D'Tigress ahead of the 2026 FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup qualifiers.

The squad features a blend of experienced players and emerging talents, including key names such as Ezinne Kalu, Elizabeth Balogun, Promise Amukamara, Amy Okonkwo, and Sarah Ogoke.

Other players named in the provisional roster include Pius Idubano, Nicole Enabosi, Victoria Macaulay, Murjanatu Musa, Pallas Kunayi-Akpannah, Grace Efosa, Ayomide Tewogbade Mololuwa, Rita Igbokwe, Ifunanya Okoro, Wandoo Hemba, Adenike Olawuyi, and Blessing Ejiofor.

The selection brings together youth and experience, featuring WNBA veterans like Amy Okonkwo, formerly with Dallas Wings, and Olympic participant Elizabeth Balogun, a Duke University alumna.

D'Tigress, who recently secured their record fifth consecutive Women's AfroBasket title, will compete in Group play in Lyon-Villeurbanne, France.

Their campaign begins on March 11 against Colombia, followed by matches against South Korea on March 12, the Philippines on March 14, France on March 15, and Germany on March 17.

The top three teams from the qualifiers will advance to the next stage of the World Cup competition.
