HumanManager used Lagos Tech Fest 2026 to deepen its visibility in Nigeria’s HR technology market as companies navigate tighter compliance rules and faster workplace digitisation.

The event took place in Lagos on Wednesday, 18 February 2026, and brought together startups, investors, multinational companies, policymakers and other ecosystem players focused on the future of technology in Nigeria and across Africa. HumanManager, which provides HR and payroll software, said the gathering gave it a platform to engage decision-makers on practical workforce management challenges affecting organisations today.

Speaking at the festival, the company’s Managing Director, Udy Ngele, said employers are dealing with a major shift in how people operations are handled. “We are seeing a clear shift in the workplace; managing human capital has become more critical than ever,” Ngele said.

He said recent tax law adjustments showed how quickly businesses now need to respond to policy changes, especially where payroll compliance and reporting timelines are involved. “Organisations had to respond at unprecedented speed, and for those using HumanManager, the transition was seamless, with implementation that is both straightforward and adaptive.”

Ngele said access to digital tools alone is no longer enough to set a company apart, adding that execution quality now matters more for long-term performance. He also said HumanManager’s next phase will focus on integrating artificial intelligence into everyday people-management processes to improve automation, speed up routine tasks and support better operational decisions.

During conversations at the festival, HumanManager discussed how organisations can strengthen HR systems while meeting changing tax and labour requirements. The company also highlighted the growing need for structures that support expansion across multiple markets and help teams stay aligned when working across locations.

Now in its sixth edition, Lagos Tech Fest remains a key convening point for stakeholders shaping digital adoption in Nigeria. HumanManager said its product direction is designed to help firms maintain compliance, simplify internal operations and sustain growth as business conditions continue to change across the continent.
