KingMakers partnered with the Enugu State Government to host the 2026 Enugu Tech Festival, drawing more than 10,000 innovators, founders, developers, investors and policy leaders to the Enugu International Conference Centre.

The four-day event ran from February 24 to 27 and focused on expanding technology adoption, digital skills, entrepreneurship and stronger ecosystem collaboration across Southeast Nigeria.

Organisers said the festival supports Enugu State’s goal of becoming a major regional centre for technology and enterprise. Sessions were designed to link young people with practical opportunities in the digital economy, rather than only broad discussions about the future of tech.

KingMakers Managing Director Gossy Ukanwoke took part across the programme and engaged founders, public officials and ecosystem operators. He said the partnership reflects a shared plan between government and the private sector to grow stronger local platforms for talent, businesses and investment.

Speaking at the festival, Ukanwoke said: “Innovation thrives where government vision and private-sector execution align. Our partnership with the Enugu State Government reflects a shared commitment to building sustainable innovation ecosystems beyond traditional tech hubs. Platforms like the Enugu Tech Festival create real access to knowledge, networks, and opportunity for thousands of young Nigerians.”

The programme included keynote speeches, panel sessions, startup exhibitions, ecosystem showcases and structured networking meetings. These activities were aimed at helping participants move from ideas to actual ventures, jobs and partnerships.

Stakeholders at the event said festivals like this can help reduce concentration in a single city by strengthening regional ecosystems and opening more routes for entrepreneurs outside Lagos. As activity grows in new centres, operators are paying closer attention to access to mentors, funding pathways and market linkages.

KingMakers said it plans to continue building long-term partnerships that widen access to technology opportunities and support economic growth across Nigeria. The company said youth empowerment and digital development remain central to its engagement strategy in the country.
