KPMG has appointed Tola Adeyemi as Chief Executive Officer for KPMG in Africa, with the role taking effect in March 2026.

The firm also announced Professor Olayinka David-West and George Njenga as independent members of its Africa Governance Council, a move it said will deepen board-level oversight and strategic leadership across the continent.

Adeyemi said Africa remains one of the world’s most promising economic regions and described his appointment as an opportunity to strengthen collaboration and deliver consistent quality across KPMG markets in Africa.

KPMG said its One Africa model is designed to improve cross-border coordination and provide clients with shared expertise as they navigate complex risk and growth decisions.

Africa Governance Council chairman, Professor Ben Marx, said Adeyemi brings both continental credibility and global perspective, including his role on the KPMG Global Council.

The company said the latest appointments reinforce its focus on governance, accountability and leadership depth as it positions for long-term growth across African markets.
