The Lucky Aiyedatiwa Campaign Organisation for Tinubu (LACOT) says the All Progressives Congress in Ondo State is united and warned against attempts to create tension in the party.
LACOT chairman, Dr Oladipupo Okeyomi, known as Carry Go, stated this in a press statement after the APC state congress. He said the conduct of the congress showed party cohesion and dismissed suggestions of internal crisis in the chapter.
According to him, there is no leadership dispute in Ondo APC. He said Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa remains the recognised leader of the party in the state because APC is the ruling party there. Okeyomi maintained that claims of factional leadership are false and politically motivated.
He also accused some actors of creating a false impression of division because of personal ambition ahead of future elections. In his words, such people are "constituting nuisance through desperation" and should stop actions that can disturb the peace in the state.
LACOT said the calm atmosphere in Ondo should be protected and not turned into a battleground for internal rivalry. The group urged members to remain focused on party unity and governance, rather than political drama around who controls structures.
Beyond the state congress, Okeyomi said LACOT is already preparing for wider mobilisation in support of President Bola Tinubu's 2027 re-election effort. He expressed confidence that Ondo would deliver an overwhelming vote for the President, saying the state would stand firmly with Tinubu at the polls.
He credited the President with major achievements across sectors and argued that the administration's direction has strengthened public confidence. On the state front, he said Governor Aiyedatiwa is focused on governance and should be allowed to carry out his constitutional duties without distraction from political noise.
LACOT equally declared support for Aiyedatiwa's own future electoral ambition, saying the governor deserves another term based on current performance. Okeyomi added that the organisation has mapped out a statewide awareness tour that will reach communities across all 18 local government areas in Ondo State as part of its continuing political engagement. The group said the outreach programme will be used to consolidate grassroots support and keep party members aligned ahead of coming electoral contests in the state and at the national level.
