The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Lagos Province 20, will hold its 2026 Economic Summit on Saturday, March 21, at Christ The Lord Parish, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, organisers said.

The programme, themed "Positioned for Advantage in a Shifting Economy," is expected to bring policymakers, business leaders, investors and entrepreneurs together for practical conversations on growth, wealth creation and sustainable development in Nigeria. Organisers said the event will be available both physically and online, widening access for participants within and outside Lagos.

Pastor Tunde Netufo (FCA), Assistant Pastor in Charge of Region 11 and Pastor in Charge of Lagos Province 20, said the church is using the summit to support economic empowerment as part of its Christian Social Responsibility focus. He said the goal is to improve economic literacy and encourage informed discussions that help people and businesses respond better to changing conditions in the country.

According to Netufo, the summit aligns with the church’s wider mission to contribute to national development and to help citizens understand how economic policy decisions affect daily life. "The main reasons we, as a church, have decided to organise this summit is to contribute to the ongoing economic discourse in the country and the overall well-being of the people," he said.

Renowned economist and financial analyst Mr. Bismarck Rewane will deliver the keynote address. Organisers said his session will set the tone for conversations on current economic realities and planning choices for households and businesses.

A series of panel sessions is also planned, with focus areas that include personal wealth creation, small and medium-scale enterprise development, and taxation issues affecting individuals and companies. The organisers said the agenda was designed to combine policy-level insight with practical guidance people can apply in their finances and operations.

Mrs. Sola Adesakin, a chartered accountant and wealth coach with over 20 years of experience, will speak on personal wealth and financial empowerment. She is the founder of Smart Stewards Financial Advisory Limited and Smart Stewards Advisory LLC, where she advises individuals and organisations on structured wealth-building strategies.

For the SME track, Dr. Chidi Okpaluba will lead discussion as panelist. He is a social entrepreneur with more than two decades in business development and non-governmental initiatives. His work spans enterprise support and impact programmes focused on youth empowerment and economic inclusion, with outreach initiatives that have reached over 200,000 Nigerians.

Tax issues will be addressed by Mrs. Nike James, Partner, Tax Financial and Tax Risk Management, at KPMG Nigeria. With over 25 years of professional experience, she advises multinational and local financial services clients on tax risk management, mergers and acquisitions, cross-border transactions, restructuring and regulatory compliance. Organisers said her session is expected to address public understanding of recent Federal Government tax policies and what they mean for citizens and businesses.

Panel discussions will be moderated by Mrs. Uwa Osa Oboh, Principal at African Capital Alliance, while award-winning broadcaster Mrs. Ayo Mairo-Ese of Arise News Channel will anchor the summit.

RCCG Lagos Province 20 said the event is intended to provide thought leadership, practical insight and actionable strategies for people and organisations seeking long-term stability and growth in Nigeria’s changing economy. Interested participants were advised to register through the church’s website at www.rccgchristthelord.com and make plans to attend.
