Twins Tourism founders, Amb. Taiwo and Kehinde Oguntoye, have announced the death of Adegbodu Taiwo, describing his passing as a painful loss to their family, friends and the wider twins community in Nigeria.

In a condolence statement, the organisers said they received the news with heavy hearts and in submission to God’s will. They said their relationship with the Adegbodu Twins went far beyond event collaboration and had grown into what they called a brotherly bond over many years.

The founders said the late Adegbodu Taiwo stood with the Twins Tourism vision from its early days and offered steady support when the movement was still taking shape. According to them, his support was practical and visible, not symbolic.

They recalled that at the first Naija Twins Festival held at the Cultural Centre in Ibadan in 2009, the Adegbodu Twins performed with a full live band and helped create the atmosphere that made the event memorable. They also said the duo volunteered their talent and contributed to the signature tune for “Travel with the Twins,” alongside other contributions that strengthened the programme at the time.

The statement described Adegbodu Taiwo as warm, loyal and humble, adding that he carried himself with quiet strength. The organisers said his dedication to unity among twins remains part of the legacy he left behind.

They also extended condolences to his twin brother, Kehinde, his wife, children and the entire Adegbodu family. The founders prayed for strength and comfort for the bereaved family, especially his twin brother, whom they said is facing a deeply difficult moment.

While expressing grief, the organisers said they accept the loss in faith and prayed for God’s comfort over everyone affected. They asked that the late Adegbodu Taiwo be remembered for his service, commitment and the role he played in building a sense of community among twins.

The statement ended with prayers for his soul to rest in peace and for continued protection over twins in Nigeria and across the world.
