VeryDarkMan and King Mitchy Trade Claims as Seyi Tinubu Is Drawn Into Dispute

An online feud involving King Mitchy and VeryDarkMan has escalated after a school renovation project in Delta State, with Seyi Tinubu also mentioned in the dispute.

Mitchell Mukoro, known online as King Mitchy, first shared videos saying she renovated a damaged school in six days. She presented the work as proof that practical intervention can happen quickly when there is commitment and funding. Her post initially drew praise from followers who said private citizens should not wait endlessly for public systems before stepping in to help.

The argument widened after comments she made were interpreted as criticism of activist Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan. In one message, she wrote: "I have never seen anyone with integrity explain everyday that he/ she has integrity. I did this in six days to show you how easy it is if you truly want to do something. Lastly, I know a lot of damaged schools. Government teachers even pray for you on top."

She also alleged that someone had been sent to her restaurant to gather information and wrote: "Yo, this guy planted someone to work at my restaurant to get information but he did not see any tangible thing talk about me."

VeryDarkMan responded in a video and said her intervention should be viewed through a political lens. He accused her of helping to polish the image of President Bola Tinubu’s government, then tagged Seyi Tinubu in his post. He wrote: "@Seyitinubu YOUR FATHER FIRST 4years failed so bad that ministry of education stopped working, so you need mitchy to renovate schools (CITY BOY MOVEMENT, RTIFN, MITCHYY) these are product of your father’s failures, @officialasiwajubat won’t need michyy and co if his first term was good… THAT POLITICAL TOOL YOU PEOPLE KEPT UNDER THE DEPARTMENT OF D and charity."

King Mitchy later fired back with a warning, writing, "Bro, I promise you this. The day you come for me will be the beginning of your downfall." As the exchange intensified, VeryDarkMan said both Seyi Tinubu and King Mitchy were threatening him. In another clip, he said: "Nigerians, in respect to what is going on now, they are beginning to threaten my life. Seyi Tinubu and King Mitchy are threatening my life."

Meanwhile, some social media users questioned the renovation scope after videos appeared to show sections of the school still in poor condition. In response, King Mitchy posted transaction receipts and said more than N1 million was spent on the project. At the centre of the controversy are three unresolved questions: what was completed at the site, who is making accurate claims, and whether charity work is being used to fight broader political battles online.
